FORT SMITH, Ark. (Sept. 14, 2012) — Averitt Express recently completed construction on a new Fort Smith facility on South Zero Street, which includes expanded operations to meet customer needs for customized warehousing and distribution.

The new service center, which is at the intersection of South Zero Street and State Highway 45, features more than 30 dock doors and 25,400 square feet of space. About 10,000 of that is enclosed space ideal for storage, processing and warehousing operations.

Averitt Rolls Out Enhanced Online Rate Quoting

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (July 29, 2011) — Customers seeking rate quotes from AverittExpress.com now have instant access to guaranteed delivery rates in addition to standard delivery quotes. Averitt introduced the new service in order to address customers' needs for expedited delivery.

The process is simple: customers login to their account on AverittExpress.com and enter their shipping information. Based on the delivery ZIP code, Averitt’s system determines pricing for standard delivery, guaranteed delivery by 5 p.m., and in some cases, guaranteed delivery by noon. Customers can then create a bill of lading online or call Averitt’s National Call Center to schedule the shipment.

At that time, Averitt’s flatbed presence existed only in eight key markets, including Birmingham, Ala.; Atlanta, Ga.; Cincinnati, Ohio; Louisville, Ky.; and Nashville, Tenn. During the past 22 months, however, growing customer demand has spurred the transportation and supply chain management provider to quickly double its flatbed presence, resulting in a current total of 16 markets. Some of Averitt’s newest flatbed markets include Decatur, Ala.; Bowling Green and Lexington, Ky.; Chattanooga and Knoxville, Tenn.; and Tupelo, Miss.
