COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (July 29, 2011) — Customers seeking rate quotes from AverittExpress.com now have instant access to guaranteed delivery rates in addition to standard delivery quotes. Averitt introduced the new service in order to address customers' needs for expedited delivery.
The process is simple: customers login to their account on AverittExpress.com and enter their shipping information. Based on the delivery ZIP code, Averitt’s system determines pricing for standard delivery, guaranteed delivery by 5 p.m., and in some cases, guaranteed delivery by noon. Customers can then create a bill of lading online or call Averitt’s National Call Center to schedule the shipment.
“This enhancement to our online rate quoting puts more options at our customers' fingertips,” said Woody Davis, vice president of customer service. “It’s the first time these guaranteed delivery options have been quoted and offered online, providing added convenience for our customers. In the short time we’ve rolled out the enhancements, we’ve already seen substantial usage of the service.”
