COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (April 16, 2010) — Averitt Express was recently honored with the 2009 Carrier of the Year award from Elmer’s Products. The presentation took place at Elmer’s Products' distribution facility in Statesville, NC.
Averitt was presented with the award in recognition of its efforts to uphold Elmer’s Products' high service standards. The award is based on criteria such as service, performance and competitiveness.
According to Tom Campbell, transportation manager for Elmer’s Products, Averitt’s ability to meet stringent requirements when shipping to Walmart, Elmer’s Products' largest customer, also played a role in determining Averitt as a recipient of the award.
“At a time when superior service, consistent performance and competitiveness are absolutely required to meet the demands of our customers, Averitt has consistently been a valued partner to Elmer’s,” said Campbell. “There were many times throughout the year when Averitt was challenged to meet our requirements, especially regarding shipments to Walmart, and they did every time.”
