COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (August 9, 2016) — For the 18th consecutive year, Averitt Express has been recognized by the readers of Logistics Management magazine as a top transportation solutions provider in the publication’s Quest for Quality Awards.
In a poll of close to 5,000 shippers, Averitt was honored in three categories - South/South Central Regional LTL, Expedited and Truckload Dry Freight. The awards continue an impressive trend for Averitt, as no carrier in the South has earned more Quest for Quality awards since the program began in 1984. “This recognition is very humbling, because it means our customers appreciate our efforts to deliver outstanding service and value,” said Averitt president and chief operating officer Wayne Spain. “We also understand that we must earn that trust each day, and we’re excited about the opportunity we have to continue to raise the bar of excellence in the future.”
Averitt has claimed at least one Quest for Quality award every year since 1999.
The Quest for Quality Awards poll is the most extensive of its type within the transportation and logistics industry. This year’s poll featured feedback from 4,725 shippers, and the honors were determined by several criteria, including on-time performance, value, information technology, customer service, and equipment and operations.
