In a poll of close to 5,000 shippers, Averitt was honored in three categories - South/South Central Regional LTL, Expedited and Truckload Dry Freight. The awards continue an impressive trend for Averitt, as no carrier in the South has earned more Quest for Quality awards since the program began in 1984.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (June 14, 2016) — In its effort to recruit and retain highly skilled professional drivers, Averitt Express recently gave away a $5,000 cash prize to an associate as part of its Referral Rewards Cash In 2016 program.

Shreveport, La. driver Brad Rogers was the winner of the $5,000 reward, part of a program that includes three rounds of vacation packages and cash prize drawings before culminating in a year-end prize of $10,000 for two associates.

Averitt was recognized by Dollar General on several criteria, including overall value and on-time service, which was nearly 99 percent in 2015.

(June 11, 2016) — A little more than 200 Averitt associates and family members took advantage of sunny skies to participate in the 9th annual Averitt 5K and 1-Mile Walk at Averitt’s corporate offices on Neal Street. Expanding on the company’s Asia-Memphis Express, which utilizes a unique combination of ocean and rail service to cut processing times by as much as 10 days, Averitt has introduced weekly LCL departures from the Port of Yantian in the Guangdong Province.

An innovative combination of ocean service and inland transportation that cuts transit times by up to 10 days, the Asia-Memphis Express has set the bar of excellence for LCL service from Asia to the Southeast for several years.
