Averitt’s a great company to work for. I think it’s awesome. I’ve actually contacted a couple of my retired former co-workers in the sheriff’s department that might hopefully be joining our force.
Part of it is the fact that the drivers have such a professional demeanor. And I’ve made some great friends. Even though we don’t see each other that often, we keep in touch.
When I had my knee surgery two years ago, I had people constantly calling to check on me — even from corporate. I thought that was terrific. It really made me feel like part of the family. And that’s something I really appreciate.
It’s been a great ride, and I’m looking forward to being here to celebrate the 50th anniversary.
