Toshiba America Business Solutions Inc. and Averitt Express Inc. had been working together in the Southeast for two decades with mutual success. As the two companies describe the relationship, they often worked together on solutions, not just prices. As a result, the two were able to create more supply chain flexibility and savings for Toshiba.
Through their award-winning Shipment Consolidation Program, Averitt was able to help Toshiba realize improved efficiencies by eliminating multiple freight touch points through freight consolidation. The results: a 10-15% overall cost saving representing approximately $750,000 - $1 million in annual savings and approximately 1 million fewer miles traveled, resulting in reduced environmental impact.
